What is Stress: Stress is defined as the resistance force acing per unit cross section area of the body. It is also defined as the ratio of applied load to the cross section area of the body.

Stress is the force per unit area on a body that tends to cause it to change shape.

In SI units, force is measured in newtons and area in square metres. This means stress is newtons per square meter, or N/m2.

(B). Compressive Stress

**2. Compressive Stress:**When the load applied on the body or push, the stress is known as Compressive Stress.
